Amy Lynn Carter, the daughter of former US President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter, was born on October 19, 1967. She is the youngest of the Carters' four children, and their only daughter.

Amy Carter grew up in the White House during her father's presidency, from 1977 to 1981. She attended public schools in Washington, D.C., and later graduated from Brown University.

After college, Amy Carter worked as a social worker and advocate for human rights. She has also written several books, including "Talking Peace: A Citizen's Guide to Ending the Killing" and "Amy Carter's Book of Peace."

Amy Carter is married to James Wentzel, and they have two children.
